The Joffrey Ballet Spring Gala

The Joffrey Ballet’s annual Spring Gala was held on Friday, April 17, 2015, hosting over 850 of Chicago’s cultural leaders raising over one million dollars to support The Joffrey Ballet and its Educational and Community Engagement Programs. Hosted by co-chairs Noren Ungaretti and Elizabeth Yntema, amongst the attendees were international choreographer Christopher Wheeldon, New York City Ballet Resident Choreographer Justin Peck, CNBC’s The Profit Marcus Lemonis and Johnson Publishing’s Desirée Rogers.

The evening included an exclusive performance at The Cadillac Palace Theatre and event at the Hilton Chicago celebrating the ballet company’s twentieth year in Chicago.

This year’s gala program began at The Cadillac Palace Theatre with a performance including The Joffrey and Chicago premiere of New York City Ballet resident choreographer and soloist Justin Peck’s, In Creases, The Joffrey and Chicago premiere of Liturgy by one of the world’s most sought after choreographers Christopher Wheeldon, Windy Sand by Joffrey Academy Artistic Director Alexei Kremnev performed by members of the Joffrey Academy Trainee Program and Studio Company, and a performance by students from the inspiring Community Engagement Program. 
 
A 20th Anniversary toast with the choreographers and Joffrey Company hosted by -Moët & Chandon was held following the performances at the theatre before guests were transported to the Hilton Chicago for an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing to the Rich Daniels and the City Lights Orchestra.
